Low temperatures can cause the train's water and braking systems to freeze, potentially disrupting the normal operation of trains the following day. To prevent this, a group of dedicated "warm-up crew" members at Shangri-La Railway Station ensure that trains staying overnight are pre-heated, helping to keep them warm.
