Ice and Snow Economy Takes the "Highway" to Success

　　

     On December 30, 2024, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway celebrated its 5th anniversary of operation. Over the past five years, this "Ice and Snow Line," which connects Beijing and Zhangjiakou, the two host cities of the Beijing Winter Olympics, has continued to fuel the passion for winter sports long after the event, building a new bridge for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It has also significantly boosted the economic and social development along the route. Since its opening, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway has transported more than 87 million passengers, with a substantial increase in annual ridership. The year-on-year growth in passenger traffic clearly shows that the ice and snow economy is thriving, with a booming, dynamic future ahead.
