Smooth Connections Across the Land of Gansu
— How the Railway Sector Leverages Its Strengths to Contribute to Gansu's Chapter on Chinese Path to Modernization
The Yellow River is known as the "River of Happiness" that benefits the people, and the railway is the "Road of Happiness" that facilitates their convenience. In 2021, CR-Lanzhou formulated an implementation plan to promote ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. It also outlined key tasks and responsibilities for advancing this strategy. In November 2023, it further established detailed measures to implement the National Railway Carbon Peak Action Plan, aiming to reach peak carbon emissions by 2030. These measures include 13 specific tasks, such as continuously promoting transportation structure adjustments, accelerating green railway construction, and enhancing green low-carbon capabilities. These initiatives form the structural framework for CR-Lanzhou's efforts in protecting the Yellow River Basin.
