Currently, many places and organizations are innovating to create diverse and enriching travel experiences for the elderly. For instance, the railway authority has launched long-distance scenic train services specifically designed for passengers aged 50 to 70, with carriages upgraded for comfort and accessibility for the elderly group. In Shanghai, the "Silver Travel Fun Learning" project combines wellness, education and cruise tourism. Some cultural heritage sites have introduced tailored study tours for older travelers, offering activities such as guided tours of ancient architecture, opera performances and intangible cultural heritage markets. Travel agencies have also added wellness-focused travel itineraries, including hot springs, tea tasting, fitness classes and culinary culture, to cater to the preferences of elderly tourists, adding more color to their journeys.
