National Railways Transported 3.33 Billion Passengers in the First Nine Months: People's Daily

      From January to September this year, national railways transported 3.33 billion passengers, a YoY increase of 13.5%, setting a new record for the same period. National railway operations remained safe, stable and orderly.

  Passenger transport capacity has expanded. An average of 10,792 passenger trains operated daily across the rail network, up 9.8% year-on-year. In the first nine months, 1,430 tourism trains were launched to support the tourism economy and the "silver" economy. Cross-border and cross-boundary passenger transport were also enhanced, with nearly 19.9 million passengers traveling across the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Railway, a 43.1% year-on-year increase, and 190,000 cross-border passengers on the China-Laos Railway.

  Service quality has improved with the introduction of new convenience measures. The 12306 railway service platform launched new features, including continuous journey ticketing and a student booking service. These initiatives, combined with carefully formulated ticketing strategies, continually enhance the travel experience for passengers.
