In recent years, the railway sector has intensified its efforts to support the construction of essential living and public service facilities in the "railway towns." With a cumulative investment of 6.08 million yuan, they have renovated 130 "railway-themed" homestays and built two visitor reception centers and two communal dining halls to facilitate the smooth operation of the "railway towns." Additionally, they have donated two "retired" locomotives, nine carriages, and various railway equipment such as signal machines, rails, wheels, and sleepers, valued at nearly 2.3 million yuan, creating unique themed landscapes for the three "railway towns."
The railway sector has also standardized the operation of the "railway towns," exploring collective economic development models such as "industry-driven," "benefit-linked," and "fixed asset leasing," to support the growth of village collective economies. In Xinnan Village's "railway town," an "industry-driven + benefit-linked" model is implemented, where the village collective economy oversees while individual farmers operate independently, integrating villagers' assets into the tourism industry chain. In Wangping Village's "railway town," a "fixed asset leasing" model is employed, with operators leasing and managing "train hotels" and restaurants, thereby boosting the village collective economy.
Today, these distinctive "railway towns" have gained widespread acclaim. The harmonious blend of cultural and natural beauty enhances their appeal, making them a romantic stroke on the beautiful canvas of rural revitalization.
