From January to August, 13,056 CRE Trains Operated: People's Daily

From January to August this year, the CRE trains accumulated a total of 13,056 trips, transporting 1.399 million TEUs, representing a YoY increase of 12% and 11%, respectively. In August alone, 1,653 trains were operated, sending 173,000 TEUs. This year, the number of CRE trains operated has consistently exceeded 1,600 per month for six consecutive months.
Since the beginning of the year, CR has fully leveraged its international and domestic coordination mechanisms to actively promote the high-quality development of the CRE trains. The overall timetable for the CRE trains continues to expand, with increasing quantities and improving operational quality. Regular services across the Caspian Sea have been established, and the diversified development of transport corridors is steadily progressing. Cities such as Yulin in Shaanxi and Lvliang in Shanxi have initiated their first CRE trains, further expanding the service's reach and aiding higher-standard opening-up of inland cities. The railway authority has actively promoted expedited customs clearance methods, continuously enhancing the efficiency and convenience of customs procedures for the CRE trains.
Moving forward, CR will focus on serving the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative (BRI), adhering to the principles of consultation, joint construction and shared benefits. It will continue to drive the CRE trains towards higher quality, better efficiency and greater safety, providing reliable transportation support for building a comprehensive interconnected network and promoting higher-standard opening-up.
