In the future, with the launch of the "Guangdong-Yunnan Lancang-Mekong Line" international freight train and the China-Laos-Thailand international freight train, the China-Laos Railway will connect northwards with China's railway network, reaching logistics hubs such as Kunming, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu and Chongqing, and further connecting to Europe through the CRE train, reaching countries as far as Germany and Spain. Southwards, it will connect with Thailand's meter-gauge railway network, reaching southern ports and extending to Malaysia and Singapore, jointly promoting regional economic prosperity and development.
