Xi'an, Shaanxi – CRE Trains in Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Optimized and Upgraded: CCTV

   On September 20, a CRE train carrying auto parts, furniture, household appliances and solar photovoltaic equipment departed from Xi'an International Port in Shaanxi. This CRE train (Xi'an), which crosses the Caspian and Black Seas, has undergone an optimized upgrade based on the previous route over the two seas, utilizing a dedicated container shipping line to significantly improve transportation efficiency along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Originating in China, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route passes through Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan, extending to Turkey and other European countries. Since its first operation in April 2022, the frequency of the Xi'an Caspian freight train has increased from "once every seven days" to "6 to 7 trains per week." So far, 150 trains have been dispatched, transporting 137,000 tons of goods.
