National Engineering Research Center for Railway Transportation Operation and Control System Officially Accepted by CHINA RAILWAY
Recently, in accordance with the relevant management requirements of the national high-tech industry development project, CHINA RAILWAY has organized the acceptance for the National Engineering Research Center for Railway Transportation Operation and Control System, which is jointly established by Beijing Jiaotong University, China Academy of Railway Sciences Corporation Limited and China Railway Signal & Communication Co., Ltd. The Acceptance Committee approved official acceptance of the construction project of the Engineering Research Center, in consideration that the construction project of the National Engineering Research Center for Railway Transportation Operation and Control System has been completed in accordance with the feasibility study report and relevant documents, and has passed the preliminary acceptance, as well as the special acceptance, such as environmental protection, fire protection, archives, and the construction project funds have been settled, the final financial accounts for the project completion have been approved, and the development objectives for the preparatory period has been achieved.
The development of the National Engineering Research Center for Railway Transportation Operation and Control System has played an important role in the R&D of key generic technologies and system integration technologies for railway operation and control, the establishment of technical and standard systems, and the cultivation for talents of operation technologies and management. The Center has become a base for core technology R&D, system integration testing and personnel training in the field of train operation and control system in China. It is of great significance for enhancing the independent development capability and international competitiveness of train operation and control systems for HSRs and urban rail transit in China and promoting the research and industrialization of new generation train operation and control systems.
